Books by Arch C. Luther
My philosophy of technical writing:
The purpose of a technical book is to teach--to impart information and understanding. To this end, the writer must take into account the reader's knowledge (or lack of it) and write from that level up to the subject matter of the book. The presentation must be clear and well illustrated (where required), making it as easy as possible for the reader to acquire the information he or she needs.
